30/04/2025 U17M Javelins statement

It's clear from our correspondence that a lot of clubs have not yet received the new spec javelins for U17M.

We cannot run the league using different implements, as this would be doing a great disservice to athletes in our constituent clubs. Consequently, we have made the decision to run the U17M javelin event using the original old spec 700g javelins NOT the new ones.

06.12.2024. Composite Teams Review.

“At the recent AGM, it was determined that a small group should be formed to review the League’s Rules relating to Composite Clubs and to recommend any variations that might be introduced to improve their operation. Tim Soutar (Blackheath & Bromley HAC) was asked to lead this exercise. A small number of individuals present at the AGM expressed their interest in participating in the work of the group. In order to try to achieve views from a representative cross-section of the League’s members, we are seeking one or two further individuals to join the working party. Would anyone willing to help please contact our Administrator (marian@ukydl.org.uk) by Friday, 20th December.”

The AGM will be held on Saturday 30th November commencing at 11.00am at The Great Barr Hotel, Pear Tree Drive, Newton Road, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 6HS.
